one the founder French Impressionist painting, Claude Monet was born in 14 November 1840 and still to this day is probably one of the most well known French artist. he consistent and prolific practitioner of the movement philosophy of expressing one perception before nature. Monet ambition of documenting the French countryside led him to adopt a method of painting the same scene many times in order to capture the changing of the light and the passing of the seasons

Monet also rejected the traditional approach to landscape painting and instead of copying his old master he had been learning from his friend and the nature itself . He observed variations color and light cause by the daily season. Monet died of lung cancer on 5 December 1926. His famous artworks include : " impression, sunrise ", " water lilies " , " self portrait with a beret ", " water lily ponds ", " la promenade " and many more.
